With a high quality TFT LCD display, the TPC-1560 adopts the Transmeta TM Crusoe TM 5400 processor as its core. The Crusoe TM 5400 is a low power consuming, x86 compliant processor with 500 MHz operating frequency. This system can therefore be fan less although the kernel is powerful. In addition, spindle-free storage makes the TPC-1560 a durable and reliable platform. For those applications where spindle-free storage is not critical, a fast-access HDD module can be used. A PC/104-Plus expansion slot is provided for PCI expansion capability in harsh environments.
